My soul sings a spring song,
When the first swallow in its flight,
On the sky without a cloud
The apricot trees in blossom everywhere,
The insects, flowers, children laughing in the sun.
The leaves in the forests are spring gave,
Spreading them on new branches,
Soft grass and star-like flowers,
All around – just sweet scent and colour.
The flowers from the ground
Are heading for the light,
They yawn and stretch towards the sun,
Waking up from their lazy winter sleep.
The fields around are just like heaven,
Sunk in the nightingale’s song,
The bees buzz on the hillocks and
Spring sings a song in my soul!
